I’m a clinical mental health counselor with a private practice Portland, Maine. (In Maine, clinical mental health counselors are licensed as LCPCs: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor). In my practice, I assist people with a variety of mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. I also work with people on personal growth, relationship, and career issues.
I have been providing direct mental health services for nine years. My past experience includes: Clinical Coordinator of Broadway Crossings, the crisis stabilization unit for Cumberland County; mobile crisis clinician for Cumberland County Crisis Response (774-HELP); and adult mental health case manager for Support & Recovery Services.
I received my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine in 2006. In 2011, I completed a two-year Gestalt training program through the Gestalt Institute of New England in Somerville, MA.
Through supervision, study and training, I continue to hone my skills, and stay up to date on new developments and research in counseling and psychotherapy. My special interest is the integration of key humanistic and experiential approaches.
